You should know that this course was specifically developed to satisfy the licensing requirement of California. However, the material presented is very relevant to all security professionals and that is why we offer it to you for continuing education hours towards your guard license.   

In Power to Arrest, we cover the role and responsibilities of the security officer and the proprietary security officer. A security officer’s role should be to PROTECT people and property for their employer. A security officer’s responsibility BEFORE an incident/offense has occurred should be PREVENTION. A security officer’s responsibility DURING or AFTER an incident/offense has occurred should be to OBSERVE and REPORT.

In Weapons of Mass Destruction/Terrorism Awareness, we discuss how our country is threatened by potential terrorist activities.  Potential targets are many, but they all have one thing in common: they are either locations of great economic impor­tance, or they are places where large numbers of people gather.  In almost all cases, the places where you work could be either a target or a potential source of resources for terrorist criminals.  Everything in this course has been designed to make you more aware of your surroundings and to help you know what to look for in order to help prevent future terrorist attacks. 

We all have a crucial role in our safety and security. This course will show how you, a security professional, can be instrumental in preventing terrorist activity aimed at taking away our cherished freedoms and way of life.
